Apple is expected to release four new iPhones – iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max; and new Apple Watches – Watch Series 9 (41mm & 45mm) and Watch Ultra 2 (49mm). Both product types would have the latest software – iOS 17 and watchOS 10; and it would trigger the software update countdown for all eligible devices.

Apple’s September 2023 iPhone Event is in line with prior rumours and leaks from various sources including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

The non-pro iPhone models will be powered by the existing A16 Bionic (recall the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max) while the pro models will be given the new A17 Bionic processor. All models are expected to have MagSafe, 5G connectivity and mark the introduction of USB-C based charging. Some sources believe the iPhone Pro Max model could be renamed as the Ultra models in line with the Apple Watch Ultra series.

The new watches are expected to be backed by the new S9 chip (based on the A15 Bionic). Other products and services could also make their debut appearance at this event. Those interested in watching the event can follow it live on Apple’s Youtube page, apple.com or on the Apple TV app.
