Apple Announce WWDC 2024 Event Dates

Apple has sent out invites for the WWDC 2024 event. The company’s annual event for developers has been an avenue for showcasing upcoming updates to Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS) except for the occasional product announcements such as the Apple Vision Pro and new Apple Silicon (M2 Ultra) in 2023.

This year’s edition will take place online from June 10 – 14, 2024 (PDT) at the Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Australians and New Zealanders can watch the event via the Apple Developer app and website and Apple’s YouTube page) from June 11 – June 15. There is also an in-person event on June 10 for developers and students to watch the Keynote at the Apple Park.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expects iOS 18 will see the biggest revamp in the history of iOS while the company may be partnering with Google to introduce Gemini-powered features on iPhones. Apple SVP Greg “Joz” Joswiak recently tweeted that the WWDC event would be ‘Absolutely Incredible’, leading to speculation that the company is in fact set to announce its AI goals.

WWDC 2024 event dates announcement comes on the back of the United States Department of Justice announcing an antitrust lawsuit against Apple. The lawsuit claims the Cupertino-based company has been sabotaging its competitors and deliberating making its platform inaccessible to third-party developers and device makers.
