iPhone 16 Pricing and Release Date

Going by all indications, we are about a month away from the new iPhone announcements. There is a good possibility that they will be announced by the second Tuesday in September (say September 10??) and availability scheduled for a week or two later. There have been no official invites sent out, but we will announce it once it is made official.

iPhone 16 Specs and Key Features

According to major sources, the iPhone 16 series will largely retain the same build and design as its predecessor – the iPhone 15 series. The action button, reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max will be extended to the non-pro models – iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, will have more functionality. The non-pro models will retain the same display size (6.1-inch and 6.7-inch) as their predecessors; however, the pro models will have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes respectively.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will likely be powered by a new chip (either the A18 or A18 Pro) while the basic models will use the same chip as last year’s pro models – the A17 Pro. All four will have at least 8GB of RAM and storage is expected to start at 128/256GB and go up to 1/2TB. For photography, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will get the new tetra-prism telephoto camera and upgraded ultrawide camera.

The camera design on the iPhone 16/iPhone 16 Plus will be reverted to a linear arrangement and features will remain the same as its predecessor (or closer to the iPhone 15 Pro models). There are talks of an increased battery capacity across board except for the iPhone 16 Plus which had a reduction in capacity. We are curious to see if all models will still be marketed as having ‘all-day battery life’. More will be revealed when the devices are announced.
