They come pre-loaded with iOS 17 and are powered by last year’s A16 Bionic (6-core CPU + 5-core GPU) chip, which powered the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. It has the signature OLED Super Retina XDR display, with 1600 nits peak HDR brightness and up to 2000 peak outdoor brightness. The exterior has been redesigned with contoured edges and textured matte finish with colour-infused back glass.

It’s dual-camera system includes a 48MP main camera with 100-percent Focus Pixels for AutoFocus and 12MP ultrawide camera with 2x Telephoto. There have also been improvements to the Portrait and Night modes. Wired charging and data transfer will be handled by USB-C while MagSafe and future Qi2 chargers will take care of wireless charging.

Other notable features include Emergency SOS via Satellite, Crash Detection, Precision Finding for Find My Friends (powered by second-generation Ultra Wideband chip), eSIM and 5G. Both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available for pre-order today in Black, Blue, Green, Pink and Yellow colours, with availability scheduled from September 22.
