Apple Unveil Beats Studio Pro with ANC, 40Hrs Battery Charge

Apple-owned Beats has launched a new over-ear wireless headphones – the Beats Studio Pro. Various reputable sources including The Verge and TechCrunch are touting the new wireless headphones as the successor to the Beats Studio 3 released in 2017. They are available to order from Apple Online and Offline Store as well as select authorized retailers for $349.99 (AU$ 529.95).

The Beats Studio Pro has almost the same exterior as the Studio 3 Wireless and comes in four colours – Black, Deep Brown, Navy, and Sandstone. It is designed by Beats Design Consultant, Samuel Ross, and fitted with a new custom-made 40mm driver in each ear for better acoustics and upgraded microphones to enhance both Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and call performance.

It offers fully adaptive ANC and Transparency modes. It has on-ear device controls, UltraPlush leather cushions for all-day ear comfort, a carrying case accessory and lasts up to 40 hours of battery life (down to 24 hours when ANC/Transparency mode is turned on). There is also support for lossless USB-C audio playback, Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and USB-C charging.

As expected, Beats has catered for the interests of both Apple (iOS) and Android users. The former will get one-touch pairing, Hey Siri, Find My and OTA updates while the latter will get Google fast Pair, Audio Switch, Find My Devices and Beats app for Android handles software updates as well as product customization. Either option connects via Class 1 Bluetooth, USB-C audio and 3.5mm analog input. When connected via USB-C audio, users will enjoy three distinct Beats sound profiles – Beats Signature Profile, Entertainment profile and Conversation profile.
