macOS 13 Ventura Delivers Stage Manager, Continuity Camera, More

Alongside iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16, Apple has released macOS 13 ventura for Apple-Silicon and Intel-based Mac. The PC OS update is now available for the iMac (2017 and later), iMac Pro (2017 and later), MacBook Air (2018 and later), MacBook Pro (2017 and later), Mac Pro (2019 and later), Mac Studio (2022), Mac mini (2018 and later) and MacBook (2017 and later).

macOS 13 Ventura introduces Stage Manager – a new multitasking feature also available on iPad – to Mac and Continuity Camera, a feature designed to allow iPhone users use the phone’s high quality camera system as a webcam. Continuity camera also ties into other features such Desk View, Center Stage, Portrait mode and Studio Light. With Stage Manager (enabled in Control Center), users are able to organize and switch between multiple apps and windows into a single view. The feature is also compatible with windowing tools such as Mission Control and Spaces.

Ventura also introduces iCloud Shared Photo Library support, Shared Tab Groups and Passkeys in Safari, a new encrypted sign-in method that replaces Passwords but require biometric verification (Touch ID or Face ID) to authenticate. Passkey in Safari compatible with APple and non-Apple devices. Other features includes Mail app improvements (schedule and cancel), updated Spotlight, Message app improvments (edit, undo send and mark as unread), and more.
