New MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max, 120Hz ProMotion

Apple’s dream to power its Macbooks with Apple Silicon has taken a huge leap with the new M1 Pro and M1 Max processor. The company has updated its MacBook Pro line-up with a refreshed design (first time in 5 years), additional ports, longer battery life, and the option to configure with either the M1 Pro or M1 Max. It is available in either 14.2-inch or 16.2-inch models with Mini-LED displays with 120Hz ProMotion technology and the front display houses the 1080p HD camera.

The new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max brings back MagSafe 3 port for fast charging, HDMI port and SDXC card reader as well as 3x Thunderbolt 4 ports and 3.5mm audio jack. The 14-inch model lasts up to 17 hours of video playback and up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing while the 16-inch model lasts up to 21 hours of video playback and up to 14 hours of wireless web browsing.

The rest of the specs includes up to 64GB RAM, Force Touch trackpad, USB-C Power Adapter (67W – 140W), Magic keyboard with Touch ID and macOS monterrey. The 14-inch model starts at US$ 1,999 (AU$ 2,999) while the 16-inch model start at US$ 2,499 (AU$ 3,749). Apple updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro last year with the M1 processor alongside the MacBook Air and Mac mini.
