Apple Rapid Security Responses

Apple promised faster security updates for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The company has stayed true to its words with the release of rapid fix for security vulnerabilities. iOS 16.4.1 (a), iPadOS 16.4.1 (a), and macOS 13.3.1 (a) were rolled out to fix vulnerabilities before the next major release. The updates are enabled by default and sometimes may require the user to restart the device.

The iPhone 15 Pro series is expected to have several features not available on the non-pro models. They are expected to use the faster A17 Bionic (3nm) chipset, support Wi-Fi 6E and feature USB-C port with higher transfer speed. Apple and Google Working On Addressing Unwanted Tracking

Apple and Google are working together to tackle the issue of unwanted tracking through Bluetooth location tracking devices. They have jointly submitted a ‘proposed industry standard’ to address the misuse of Bluetooth trackers by unscrupulous elements. The draft proposal, which has received support from the likes of Samsung, Tile and Chipolo; will set out best practices for detecting unauthorized tracking and alerts both iOS and Android users.

Apple Card’s New High-Yield Savings Account Offers 4.15% APY

Apple recently introduced its 4.15% APY savings account for Apple Card users in the United States (US). The Goldman Sachs-backed high-yield savings account is available directly inside the wallet app on the iPhone (iOS 16.4 and later). It incurs no fees and has no minimum deposits.
