Apple rounded off its ‘California Streaming’ event with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Both Pro models have the same processor (A15 Bionic but with 5-Core GPU), 5G connectivity and OS (iOS 15) as the base iPhone 13 and 13 mini; however, their respective 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR displays have Ceramic cover shield and ProMotion technology which ensures adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz. They both have a premium flat-edge stainless design, textured matte glass back, 12MP (f/2.2) TrueDepth camera in the smaller notch and IP68-rating.
Packed with larger capacity batteries, the iPhone 13 Pro lasts 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 Pro while the 13 Pro Max lasts 2.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro Max. They are both equipped with a triple camera system with an all-new 12MP (f/1.5, 1.9µm, sensor-shift OIS) wide camera, 12MP (f/1.8, 120o FOV, dual OIS) ultra-wide camera and 12MP (f/2.8, 77mm, 3x optical zoom in, 6x optical zoom range, dual OIS) Telephoto camera. Popular camera features such as Deep Fusion, Apple ProRAW, and Portrait mode with Portrait Lighting remain.
Apple has also added additional features such as Cinematic mode and ProRes video codec. The Pro models are available in Graphite, Gold, Sierra Blue, Silver colour options, while all four devices in the series have MagSafe support. Pricing starts at US$ 999 for the base 13 Pro model (128GB) and US$ 1,099 for the base 13 Pro Max model (128GB). They will be open for pre-orders later this week (Sept. 17) and start shipping a week later (Sept. 24).
