Apple took the wraps off the iPhone 13 and 13 mini at its ‘California Streaming event’.

The processor has a 6-core CPU (2x high-performance cores + 4x efficiency cores) which is positioned to be 50% faster than competition; a 4-core GPU which is up to 30% faster than competition, and 16-core Neural Engine which is capable of 15.8 TLOPS. In terms of battery performance, the iPhone 13 lasts 2.5 hours more than the iPhone 12 while the iPhone 13 mini lasts 1.5 hours more than the iPhone 12 mini.
They have respective 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays with Ceramic shield, Aerospace Aluminium Grade build and smaller display notch, which houses both the TrueDepth camera and Face ID. Photography is handled by an advanced dual-camera system with 12MP (1.7µm pixels) wide camera and 12MP (f/2.4, 120o FOV) ultra-wide camera. The setup has sensor-shift OIS, Smart HDR 4 and support for night mode in both cameras.

There is a new Cinematic mode which allows the phone user record videos with depth effect with AF changes and record videos in Dolby Vision HDR. The rest of the specs include IP68-rating (water resistance), advanced 5G connectivity with more 5G bands, and Smart Data mode to switch between LTE and 5G when the need arises.
Starting at 128GB storage, iPhone 13 (from US$ 799) and iPhone 13 mini (from US$ 699) will be available for pre-order this Friday (Sept. 17). It will be available a week later (Sept. 24) in Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Japan, the UK, the US, and more than 30 other countries and regions. Blue, Midnight, Pink, PRODUCT(RED) and Starlight are the available colours.
