During the launch of the new iPhone 13 and 13 Pro series, Apple confirmed an increase in the battery life of all four variants. The company confirmed the iPhone 13 mini gained up to 1.5 hours longer battery life over the iPhone 12 mini while the iPhone 13 gained up to 2.5 hours longer battery life then the iPhone 12. The respective increase was also advertised for the iPhone 13 Pro (1.5 hours) and 13 Pro Max (2.5 hours) over their predecessors.

As advertised by Apple, the mini gained the least and the Max gained the most. On a single charge, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 can last up to 17 and 19 hours of video playback respectively while the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max can reach up to 22 and 28 hours respectively. Due to the increase in capacities, the new models are slightly thicker and weigh more than their predecessors
Other battery improvements can be attributed to the efficient performance of the new A15 Bionic processor, however, the 120Hz ProMotion display technology on the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max could have an impact on the battery life of these models.
