iOS 16.0.3 Brings More Bug Fixes For The iPhone

Apple has released iOS 16.0.3 to address more bug issues for the iPhone, most especially the iPhone 14 models. The minor update follows last month’s iOS 16.0.2 which fixed the viral camera shaking issue experienced on some models of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max as well as displays going blank during setup and excessive copy-and-paste prompt users were subjected to.

iOS 16.03 is available to download for iPhone 8 and later device. Locate the Settings app, Click on General > Software Update > Download and Install and follow the onscreen instructions. The update delivers the following bug fixes and important security updates:

Incoming call and app notifications may be delayed or not delivered on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Low microphone volume can occur during CarPlay phone calls on iPhone 14 models

Camera may be slow to launch or switch between modes on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Mail crashes on launch after receiving a malformed email

Some iPhone users were facing extreme delays when switching to and from the camera app whilst also launching it. Other issues include mail app crashing and CarPlay issue where the caller’s voice sounds very low and distant during calls. There is no word on if the update address the poor battery life issue currently experienced after installing iOS 16.

iOS 16.0.3 Brings More Bug Fixes For The iPhone

There are chances that iOS 16.0.3 will be followed by iOS 16.1 (and iPadOS 16.1), a major update expected to deliver clean energy charging, Battery percentage update, live activities, Fitness+ subscription directly on the iPhone, and iCloud Shared Photo Library.

Apple also released watchOS 9.0.2 with fixes for for Apple Watch users. The update delivers the fix for the streaming issue on Spotify, microphone interruption on Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra, and others. To download the update, navigate to the Apple Watch app on the iPhone, select My Watch tab. Select General > Software Update.
