When Will The iOS 15 Upgrade Be Available?

During the launch of the iPhone 13/13 Pro, Apple confirmed the expected time of arrival for iOS 15. The free upgrade will be available to eligible devices starting September 20 (just four days before the new iPhones go on sale). Alongside the iOS 15 upgrade; iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8 will also be available on the same date but there is now word on the release date for macOS monterrey.

Back in June, Apple showed off iOS 15 and other software upgrades at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference event. The update will deliver several updates to Facetime including SharePlay (delayed for now) – a feature which will allow users watch movies and films together, listen to music together and share their screen.  Other include FaceTime links to schedule and invite call participants, and Portrait mode.

The Focus feature will allow users decide when to receive notifications and customise their availability. Users will decide on their best Focus option or create the options that suits their schedule. There is also the ‘Shared with You’ will be available in messages as well as other apps such as Photos, Safari, Apple Music, Podcasts and TV. Others include redesigned notifications, notifications summary, redesigned Safari, new driving features in Maps and of course, Privacy.

When Will iOS 15 Upgrade Be Available?

iOS 15 is compatible with all the devices running iOS 14 i.e., iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus (and above), iPhone SE (1st  and 2nd Generation) and iPod (7th Generation).
