Apple is rounding off the year with iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2, the latest major updates for compatible iPhones and iPads. The updates mark the arrival of Apple Music Voice Plan, the cheapest subscription plan available yet for the streaming platform as well as a macro toggle for iPhone 13 Pro models, assign legacy contacts with Apple ID, App privacy report and bug fixes.

For US$ 4.99/AU$ 5.99 per month, users can now stream the entire Apple Music catalogue (over 90 million songs, thousands of playlists, mixes, and radio stations) exclusively through Siri on Apple devices. The updates also add the App privacy report feature, which is available via Settings. With this feature, users will see how different data is accessed by Apple apps and third-party apps.

Another notable one is Legacy Contacts, a feature designed to let users assign up to five contacts which can access their iCloud data when they die. The TV app also gets a Store tab to let users browse, buy and rent movies and TV shows all in one place. The Reminders and Notes app now allows users to delete or rename tags while CarPlay gets enhanced maps for navigation.

Others include communication safety settings and warnings for parents in messaging, the arrival of Hide My Email in the Mail app for iCloud+ subscribers, and Find My can now locate iPhones for up to five hours when in power reserve. To get iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2, simply head to Settings > General > Software Update. If the update is available, simply click “Download and Install”.
