We are few weeks away from the official launch of the iPhone 14, Apple Watch 8, and other suprise announcements Apple has in stock. These devices will arrive with the new software scheduled for fall release such as the iOS 16 and watchOS 9. Both the iPadOS 9 and macOS Ventura are expected a month later (October) in time for new iPads and Mac products.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple has scheduled the iPhone 14 launch event for Wednesday, September 7 and sales should commence the week after (September 16). The event is expected to be the same as WWDC 2022, a mix of online (pre-recorded) and a handful of in-person attendance at the Apple Park for hands-on experience. The last Apple event on September 7 was for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in 2016.

While this date could still change, the event is confirmed to happen by the first half of September. The new iPhone will be available in four variants – the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max (6.7-inch), iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch). The non-pro models are expected to use the same mobile processor as the iPhone 13 – the A15 Bionic, while the Pro models will use the new A16 chip and have a bigger, better cameras (48MP wide-angle + 12MP ultrawide + TelePhoto lens).
The notch will also be missing on the Pro models as Apple adopts a new pill-shaped and punch-hole cutout for the Face ID and front camera. The new Apple Watch, Watch Series 8 is expected to arrive in three models – a regular model with the same design as the Watch Series 7, a Pro model targeting sports and outdoor enthusiasts and a Watch SE model with faster processor.
Other watch features include body temperature sensor and those focusing on women’s health. The Pro model will include longer battery life, rugged exterior and additional fitness features. We will cover announcements from the iPhone 14 launch as it happens via this link.
