iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1 deliver bug fixes and security updates and are recommended for all users. Apple didn’t go into details about the bug fixes; however, most sources believe it resolves the issue concerning lost Wi-Fi connections and depleting battery life. As for the security aspect, the update prevents remote user access that terminates apps or random code execution.

To update to iOS 16.1.1 (and iPadOS 16.1.1), locate the Settings app, then General > Software Update > Download and Install. Additionally, to update to macOS Ventura 13.0.1, head to System Settings > General > Software Update.

macOS Ventura 13.0.1 also delivers the same bug fixes and security updates as the above. The issue was said credited to have been found by Google’s Project Zero team. Meanwhile, Apple is expected to release iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 in December. The major update is expected to deliver Emergency SOS via Satellite to the iPhone 14 and Freeform collaboration app.

Other iOS expected iOS 16.2 features include: support for Stage Manager using external displays, weather app with Apple News integration, new widgets, and Live Activities updates.
