Apple Announce iPhone 13 Launch Event

Apple has announced that the special fall launch event for the upcoming iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7 and possibly AirPods 3 will happen on Tuesday, September 14, 10AM PT/1PM ET. In Australia and New Zealand, that would be September 15, 3AM AEST (Sydney and Queensland), 1AM AWST (Perth) and 5AM NZST (Auckland).

With the tagline ‘California Streaming’, the iPhone 13 launch event will be staged virtually from the Steve Job Theatre at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. It will be streamed live on Apple.com, Apple’s YouTube page and on Apple TV through the Apple TV app. This September event is expected to shine the light on the iPhone 13 mini (5.4-inch), iPhone 13 and 13 Pro (6.1-inch) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.7-inch). The pro models could have 120Hz screen refresh rate.

All four are expected to have the screen size as the iPhone 12/12 ProSeries with 5G. Expected changes include smaller design changes, faster processor (A15), bigger storage size, faster 5G technology, upgraded camera and longer lasting battery. Apple is also expected to depart from the familiar design for the Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3 will take the form of the AirPods Pro.

The Apple Watch Series 7 is speculated to have flatter edges similar to that of the iPhone and the case sizes have increased from 40mm and 44mm respectively to 41mm and 45mm. FInally, the company is expected to schedule other events before the end of the year which would see the launch of other products such as the MacBook Pro (14-inch and 16-inch) and redesigned iPad mini.
