Alongside the HomePod Mini and iPhone 12/12 Mini, Apple unveiled the iPhone 12 Pro series consisting of the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both models are powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip and feature Super Retina XDR displays just like the non-pro models, however, they offer more advanced features such as pro-level camera system, LiDAR scanner for immersive AR experience and four stainless steel finishes – Gold, Graphite, Pacific Blue and Silver colours.

Both have IP68 rating for water resistance, ceramic shield front plus textured matt glass back and offer 5G (sub-6GHz & mmWave 5G) connectivity with Smart Data Mode to extend battery life and usage.
The pro models are fitted with an additional 12MP TelePhoto (f/2.0 – pro or f/2.2 – pro max) lens to complement the 12MP (f/2.4, 120O FOV) ultra-wide and 12MP (f/1.6) wide cameras on the iPhone 12/12 mini. The Pro Max takes the camera up a notch with 1.7?m pixels for better pictures in low-light conditions and 5x optical zoom range (the basic pro has 4x optical zoom range). Both models will get the upcoming Apple ProRAW feature, which apple says will allow users take creative control over pictures on the iPhone or with other professional Photo editing apps.
They will also get Improved Night Mode and Night Mode Time Lapse added to TrueDepth and Ultra-Wide cameras. Just like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini, they also shoot and edit HDR video with Dolby vision, up to 60fps. The pro models are also compatible with the MagSafe charger and MagSafe Duo charger as well as other accessories including leather and silicone cases.

The iPhone 12 Pro is open for pre-orders this Friday, October 16 and will be available from October 23 while the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be open to pre-orders from November 6 and will be available from November 13.
