Apple unveil iOS 14.4.1, iPadOS 14.4.1, macOS Big Sur 11.2.3, watchOS 7.3.2 WebKit Security Fix

More than a month after iOS 14.4 and two weeks after the macOS 11.2.2, Apple has announced new updates to iOS, iPadOS and macOS. iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1 brings the WebKit security fix to iPhone and iPad users while macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 will also bring the same fix to mac users. To address the same issue, Apple Watch users get the watchOS 7.3.2 update.

iOS 14.4.1 and iPad 14.4.1

According to Apple, iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1 will fix a memory corruption issue within WebKit, the browser engine that powers Safari and other iOS web browsers. This update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th-gen). To get the free update, visit Settings > Select General > Scroll to software update.

macOS Big Sur 11.2.3

The support document released for macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 fixes the same pressing WebKit issue, this time for macOS Big Sur users. Apple also released Safari security update (14.0.3) for MacOS Cataline and macOS Mojave users. Eligible mac users can head to the System Preferences and select Software Updates to get the security fix.

watchOS 7.3.2

Like the aforementioned updates, watchOS 7.3.2 addresses the same WebKit vulnerability for Apple Watch users. The update is available for free through the watch app on the iPhone. The user simply needs to have sufficient charge and head to General < Software Update.
