Apple releases iCloud Passwords Browser Extension for Chrome

Apple has released the iCloud Passwords browser extension for Google Chrome on Windows. The new extension intends to make accesses to passwords easier for users with Windows computers and Apple devices such as the iPad, iPhone, or the MacBook, which all have access to the Safari.

Basically, the browser extension lets Chrome users on Windows PC access passwords stored on the Safari browser on Apple devices. New passwords created when visiting websites on Chrome are also synchronized across Apple devices thanks to the iCloud Keychain. All the user must do is to save the new passwords to the keychain.

The iCloud Passwords Browser Extension is now available on the chrome web store. The update was spotted early with the iCloud for Windows version 12.0, where there is a new option among the list of services for ‘Passwords’. Alongside the iCloud Bookmarks and Apple TV+ for Xbox, this extension is one of the rare Apple products made available for Windows PC users.

The other extension is iCloud Bookmarks, which which keeps Chrome bookmarks on Windows PC up-to-date with Safari bookmarks on the iPad, iPhone and Mac.
