The Echo Buds (2nd-Gen) feature built-in vents to reduce in-ear pressure during long period of use and four different ear tips (oval-shaped) as well as two wing tips options. To ensure the buds fit, the Alexa app has an Ear Tip Fit Test feature like most of the wireless earbuds from the major brands. Amazon claims that the ANC feature cancels twice as much noise as the original Echo Buds and the Passthrough mode allows the user to dictate the amount of ambient noise to allow in.

On a single charge, the earbuds deliver 5 days of music playback time or 6.5 hours without ANC /Alexa Wake. Charging the earbuds for 15 minutes guarantees up to 2 hours of playback time and the charging case provides up to 15 extra hours. As expected, they work in tandem with the Alexa app to stream music, play podcasts and read audiobooks from Audible. The Echo Buds (2nd-Gen) is compatible with Android and iOS, and other assistants – Google Assistant and Siri.
